MOWOCNC + NARRATE
Uplifting Voices, Sharing Stories, Building Community
Meals on Wheels Orange County, NC is engaging in a unique project with Narrate, to collect & share the stories of older adults living in Orange County. Through audio recording we’ll capture & share stories told by older adults in their own words & voice.
Our goal at MOWOCNC is to raise up these stories and the people telling them so that we may gain more insight into, and a better understanding of, our community, our elders, and the joys and challenges of aging.
Holding Space: A Memorial for Erin Gilmer
Narrate worked closely with friends of Erin Gilmer, an internationally celebrated patient advocate and disability rights advocate, to compose and produce a celebration of their collaborator and confidant who died in July 2021. Narrate recorded 6+ hours of Zoom interviews with participants and edited the content to create a tribute for this healthcare reform warrior.
